C. Error Messages when running Typequick

Error:

1. TQUSERS.LOG error

Solution:

a. Check that the SHARE that you have mapped to, to access the program has read/write access.

To check if the user has read/write access to the share;
i. On a workstation, log in as the user receiving the error message.
ii. Access the Typequick directory via the mapped drive, and try to create a text file within the Typequick directory. If you cannot create a text file, then the user does not have read/write access.
Please note SHARE level permission differs to DIRECTORY level permission. Refer to a Networking manual for further information.

Error:

2. Dd. Default Drive error

Solution:

a. You are attempting to run Typequick from an incorrect mapped drive. Check the file server drive letter on your registration details to see what the mapped drive from which you should access the Typequick program should be.

Error:

3.No of licenses exceeded

Solution:

a. If a user does not exit Typequick correctly by exiting via the Main Menu, then their username may still be recorded in the TQUSERS.LOG file. Run the program NETSUP.EXE located in the Typequick directory to delete the errant users. You will need to enter either your Registered Number or Alter Features no to delete the user.

b. If NETSUP.EXE does not display any users in the list. Make sure that there is no user running the Typequick program, then delete the TQUSERS.LOG file. The TQUSERS.LOG file will automatically be created when the Typequick program is restarted.
